Alex's bio
In 2002 Alex started tennis classes in Jufer tennis club, in Viladecans. His coach was José Carayol, a national tennis coach with extensive experience. He trained twice a week in outdoor carpet courts.
Until 2005 Alex played in several social tournaments, in different categories. From 2006 to 2010 he played in the "Lliga Comarcal", a tournament of the FCT (Catalonia Tennis Federation), in the Tenismar team. He has also participated in the "Circuit Juvenil d'estiu", another tournament organized by the FCT.
In September 2010, with the aim of improving his tennis, Alex moved to the Andrés Gimeno tennis club, in Castelledefels, the same club where Marcel Granollers (a top ten catalan player) trains. Alex trains in clay, 3 hours a day (2 hours in the courut, 1 hour in the gym), 3 times per week. Their coaches are, among others, Cristian, Marco and Borja, directed by Alex Mas, head of the Tennis66 tennis academy.
Currently, Alex is involved in diferent tournaments of the FCT, as well as in "Pere Masip" tournaments in different Barcelona tennis clubs.
